The day before

The day preceding surgery

My mother-in-law and I were going to take the boys to the zoo. We got a really late start. By the time we had everyone (My MIL, Logan, Talon, Samantha, Nathan, Sammie, Jacob and myself) ready and out the door it was already 2. We did some bank runs and headed began our journey into DC. Nathan and Sammie (Logans cousins) had NO idea where we were going. Too bad we got incredibly lost on the way there. By the time we got there it was around 4 and we only had a couple of hours. The boys had a good enough time but I was really disappointed, since we got there so late, a lot of the animals were nowhere to be found and other really awesome exhibits were shut down for whatever reasons. We saw a ton of birds though, if that counts for anything. I have a few pictures on my camera from the day, a few animals and the littles posing. SO MUCH WALKING. Mosquitos got the best of everyone, poor Talon has at least 3 bits on his face, I really didn't want to smack his head to kill them hahaha. We finally left the zoo around 8 just to find out the check in time for Ronald McDonald was supposed to be 8. Danny hadn't made it there yet either. Great start to this journey *sarcasm*. Oh, and then we got lost on the way to RMHC. Gotta love DC streets and directions along the lines of  "Go SE on __random street name__ NW." We pulled so many u-turns, and maybe ran a light or two....Danny, the boys, Nana and myself finally got all settled in and ready for bed and Talon just would not sleep! He screamed bloody murder for HOURS, probably kept the whole house up. Talon is very particular about his sleeping arrangements and this just was not acceptable. It was decided that all of our sitting arrangements for him had to be altered because of it, little brat :P

All we did for dinner was a picnic with lunchables at the zoo. Logan didn't really eat much more than cheese and crackers. We tried to feed him but he wasn't having it. If only he knew....:(
