We've had all of Logan's pre-op appointments!
He had his physical done by the pediatrician and I had to hold him for bloodwork. I expected it to be a challenge, don't really know why, he is the kid who laughed while getting shots... He was more upset about needing a bandaid. Hah.
Saw the eye doctor on Tuesday for his final appointment. All of his measurements are consistent from all of his appointments. We went over the risks and exacts of surgery. The surgery should only take 30 minutes per eye. We have to get there in advance for anesthesia of course and we'll be there for a few hours in recovery but that's it. Out patient quick surgery to relocate some muscles. He said if it's not perfect when they check in recovery they can readjust them easily using a lighter anesthesia. He's going to have a full field of vision now, so I'm going to keep him in PT just to make sure he can get his coordination and depth perception in order
I'll get a phone call on Thursday the 30th with an exact time to be there.
T-8 days and counting!
On another note, Logan's doing SO much talking. New sentences are emerging. He tells me he's silly, or he's having so much fun, or corrects me when I call him the wrong name =p He's also started using the pronoun I appropriately!
Talons speech is ridiculous. He has probably 75 (minimum) clearly pronounced words. At Logan's 4th birthday I had a list of his words, it was about 35. The difference is astonishing.!
